Job Skills Training for Those Who Need it Most

Goodwill Industries of Denver has a highly successful job skills training program that assists adults and their families in Adams and Arapahoe counties. Each year Goodwill helps over 4,500 adults who are on government assistance get the job training and job placement assistance they need to get off welfare. Goodwill helps those in need get a job... get a better job... and eventually, find a meaningful career.

Goodwill provides critical job skills training for individuals receiving welfare or county assistance to secure employment or long-term benefits. Through career classes, job assessments, job training programs, job placement and individual support, Goodwill?s experienced job counselors will help individuals explore what motivates them and start them on a journey towards job success.

We also provide employment support and services to assist participants in moving beyond a job to developing a career path. Program participants receive continuous support as they participate in career preparation classes, job skills training, continuing development in the workplace and career-related training programs.

Goodwill helps program participants advance their careers through workforce training programs. These programs include job-specific training such as computer classes and CDL or medical certification. Program participants also receive resources for their families, including childcare, housing options, health insurance, financial planning and tax preparation.
