Essential Functions and Objectives:
DPS created the Tiered Support Framework (TSF) to help ensure great schools in every neighborhood, which is the number one goal of the Denver Plan 2020. The framework is DPS’ way of making sure that the schools with the biggest challenges receive the most intensive support, while also helping all schools work toward continuous improvement. The Tiered Supports Analyst will be an integral part of the team, helping to increase the impact of how we are serving our highest need schools, our Intensive tier schools. This person will use data, progress monitoring  and analysis of strategies to help the district and school leaders make better decisions. They will support the portfolio of Intensive tier schools through the TSF lifecycle: identification, planning, implementation, monitoring and improvement.
In particular, the role will lead the following areas:
- Conduct annual reporting and analyses to inform the effectiveness of strategies for our highest need schools.
- Conduct analyses for various purposes - Board of Education meetings, school-based meetings, analyses to inform decision making, ad hoc requests.
- Maintain the Tiered Support Database, to ensure we have the most up to date data collected to run analyses.
- Glean info from existing progress monitoring systems and processes (such as Continuous Improvement visits with schools); and propose ways to gather additional data points in a streamlined and thoughtful manner.
- Implement the monitoring of Tiered Support strategies and resources at the school level.
- Gather and analyze data for CDE school improvement grants - from grant development to implementation and progress monitoring.
- Provide thought partnership in how to disseminate best practices, connected to a cycle of overall continuous improvement.
- Documentation management of key resources and analyses for our Intensive and Strategic tier schools.
- Translate complex data sets into understandable and actionable products.
- Develop, drive, and hand-off work plans to operationalize changes. 
- Special projects, as assigned.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:
- 2+ years related experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Outstanding facilitation and communication skills, including ability to inspire others.         
- Strong organizational and analytic skills and strong attention to detail.                                                 
- Ability to communicate diplomatically, persuasively, effective oral, written and presentation skills.
- Self-starter/leader who can anticipate department needs in a proactive (versus, reactive) manner.
- Ability to set goals, work independently and drive results.
