Strategic Partnerships Fellow

Position Summary

At Gary Community Ventures, engaging a community of strategic partners is an important part of advancing our mission and long-term vision to support Colorado children and families. Under the direction of the Director of Strategic Partnerships, the strategic partnerships fellow will support the development and maintenance of key partner portfolios through record and data management, event support, and partner-facing communications support.  

 

This is a part-time, non-benefited, temporary position expected to work up to 20 hours per week for roughly 24 weeks (mid-June to the end of November).

 

Responsibilities

The primary bodies of work that will reside under this fellow will include: 

  • Launch and maintain the Relationships Management platform (Affinity) for partnerships function, including data entry, and list generation.
  • Update and maintain audience segmentation in the Email Marketing platform (MyEmma) 
  • Leveraging the CRM platform to recommend and develop ongoing partner communication strategies.  
  • Co-planning and executing 3 additional partner engagement opportunities (happy hour, learning sessions, mico-conference, etc), including pre-and post-event promotion. 
  • Supporting Gary’s largest annual partnership event in Sept 2024, including guest service management, communications support, operations, and logistics.

Relationship Management + Support 

  • Lead the implementation of a CRM system for the Partnerships function, in collaboration with the Director of Strategic Partnerships (Office of Communications & External Affairs) and the Director of Programs & Strategy (Office of the President & CEO).
  • Update and maintain audience segmentation in the email marketing platform, in collaboration with the Director of Communications and Storytelling. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date partnership records by recording interactions and event participation.
  • Support the Director of Strategic Partnerships in the cultivation and maintenance of positive relationships with partners by ensuring personalized, right-time, effective communication. 

Strategic Event + Communications Support 

  • Assist the Director of Strategic Partnerships with ongoing smaller events and the organization's largest annual event, ASSEMBLE100.
  • Creatively collaborate on new strategic event vision and design, often alongside program-leading teammates to highlight strategic bodies of work.
  • Create materials for events including graphics, registration page, banners, and flyers.
  • Build and publish events and marketing materials on the website (Eventbrite and WordPress) and throughout the organization’s communication channels including email and social media sites.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns, including event registrations, event reminders, and other special communications.
  • Support pre and post-event communications and promotion.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated professional experience in donor relations, event planning, or a related field
  • Engaging and excellent written, verbal, and creative communications. Proficient with Google Drive, Canva, CRM, and Social Media (LinkedIn) platforms. 
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and program development abilities.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • A disposition of curiosity and a hunger to learn through doing 
  • Deep commitment to issues around equity and alignment with Gary’s values on Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Work Schedule: 

  • Flexible schedule during business hours. Will discuss set hours upon hire. Expected to work up to 20 hours per week.
  • In a very limited capacity, may work occasional evening events under the supervision of the Director of Strategic Partnerships. 
    • Attendance at certain events will be required
  • Environment: indoor office working 
  • Physical demands: able to sit and stand for at least 5  hours per day; occasional after-hours, weekend, and/or weeknight obligations.

Other Details: Our office is located in downtown Denver at Union Station. This is an in-person position.

This is a part-time position, estimated 20-30 hours a week, with a salary range of $24 - $30 / Hour
