Essential Functions and Objectives:
The Manager of Policy will manage key policy initiatives for the Portfolio Management Team in pursuit of equitable accountability for all schools.  The role will manage policy aspects of the School Performance Framework across design, production and dissemination.  They will also support the Senior Director and Associate Chief in revisions to the School Performance Compact Policy and related implementation.  They will also provide additional policy level support as needed.

- Establish clear alignment between District accountability processes to ensure govern ace-type and model-neutrality, including the School Performance Compact.
Vision & Strategy
- Manage the refinement and implementation of communication, dissemination and engagement related to the release of the School Performance Framework.
- Support processes for revisions to policy and implementation of the School Performance Compact.
Operational & Organizational
- Support processes to determine changes to the School Performance Framework, including identifying key questions and development recommendations and rationale.
- Work with Data Analyst to provide relevant data to support policy decision making processes.
- Lead process development and implementation for collecting stakeholder feedback around the SPF, including focus group planning and facilitation.
People & Culture
- Regularly collaborate with ARE around SPF development and execution.
Community & Equity
- Collaborate with Communications and FACE to ensure effective and transparent stakeholder engagement related to the SPF.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of related professional experienced required.
- Professional experience or knowledge of best practices in education data, preferred.
- Experience in designing, planning, and implementing short- and long-range programs, establishing priorities, and organizing resources on large, complex, multi-year initiatives.                                     
- Demonstrated effective oral communications skills, particularly presenting to senior leaders and facilitating high-stakes meetings.                                                                                                             
- Demonstrated effective written communication skills, particularly as it relates to policy work.
- Knowledge of current issues in education reform at the national, state and local levels.                
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines.                  
- Strong knowledge of education data systems, preferably including Colorado specific data                            
- Ability to be a team player and collaborate with others inside and outside of the Portfolio Management team on challenging and time sensitive projects.

- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or Policy 
- Master's Degree preferred
