Essential Functions and Objectives:
The ELA Summer Academy Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting and coordinating the day-to-day logistics and operations for ELA and READ Act related Summer Academy and Professional Development (PD) supports.  The person in this position under the supervision of the ELA Summer Academy Senior Program Manager will ensure the Summer Academy has all the operational components in place before the start of the program.  This includes ensuring high quality customer service, coordination of materials and registration, supports with PD and data management. In this role, the ELA Summer Academy Operations Coordinator will work closely with various internal departments to ensure that all logistical aspects are properly implemented and effective communication across departments and schools.
- Supports the ELA and READ Summer Academy planning process by scheduling and coordinating professional development, communicates with families and manages the Summer Academy hotline, delivers secretary training, and tracks attendance of participants; coordinates the purchase, delivery, circulation, and inventory of supplies of the Summer Academy.
- Supports and creates Summer Academy processes and structures using project management tools; data management to include attendance data entry, tracking, and pulling data from Infinite campus, create spreadsheets for tracking registration forms, bus badges, partnership enrollment, etc.
- Coordinates with ELA team and other departments to ensure proper communication and registration logistics are identified and executed, including student registration and account for all Summer Academy staff; ensure information is updated, posted, and communicated as appropriate.
- Collaborates with ELA team members, other DPS stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful preparation and implementation of the academy; organizes operations for DPS Summer Academy across a variety of teams at the central office and at the school level.
- Supports and collaborates with the warehouse staff and any additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:
- 2-3 years’ administrative process and data management experience.
- Background in education preferred.
- Previous experience in an educational sector preferred.
- Fluent in Spanish preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong command of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects in a highly organized and conscientious manner.
- Ability to work with a degree of ambiguity in a complex, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated effective English language oral and written communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Experience with data entry and analysis.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Innovative and entrepreneurial, thinking outside the box to develop creative solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to build and/or strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed conflict resolution, mediation and persuasion skills. 
- Familiarity with and willingness to learn about and utilize workplace technology to improve communication, collaboration, and productivity. 
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
