DENVER, CO — Friday, February 22, 2019 — With Denver’s unemployment rate currently at 3.7 percent, summer job opportunities are shaping up to be more promising this year than ever for young people. To connect young adults age 16-24 with summer jobs, Denver Workforce Services is offering a series of Summer Job and Resource Fairs. Events will be held on the following dates, featuring a wide range of hiring employers and job search resources:

The job fairs are offered for all metro area young adults, age 16-24. Youth should be age 16 prior to May 1, 2019 in order to attend. Attendees are encouraged to create a profile at www.ConnectingColorado.com prior to attending.
The events are offered by Denver Workforce Services, in conjunction with Adams County Workforce and Business Center and Arapahoe/Douglas Works Workforce Center. The events are organized in conjunction with the Governor’s Summer Job Hunt, a long-standing statewide program that promotes successful entry in the workforce through education and workforce experience that leads to self-sufficiency.
The Denver Office of Economic Development (OED) is dedicated to advancing economic prosperity for the City of Denver, its businesses, neighborhoods and residents. Working with a wide variety of community partners, OED operates to create a local environment that stimulates balanced growth through job creation, business assistance, housing options, neighborhood redevelopment and the development of a skilled workforce.
