Juanita Gray / Blacks In Colorado Hall Of Fame

The Juanite Gray Community Service Award is presented to African-American men, women and young adults who exemplify the ideals and spirit represented by Mrs. Gray's commitment to the community. Established in 1987, this award kicks off the library's celebration of Black History Month.

Blacks in Colorado Hall of Fame honors new inductees every other year. Juanita Gray helped start this tradition in 1973. Members of the Hall of Fame are Colorado residents who are the first in their field to make history and have had a major impact on the African-American Community.
