The Mile High Chapter of the Japanese Americans Citizens League is hosting the annual Day of Remembrance event marking February 19, 1942—the day President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, clearing the way for 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry to be incarcerated in American concentration camps during World War II. Our program for the day features key speakers and presentations exploring the significance and impact of the event.
